A different kind of conversation

WHAT WE CAN WORK THROUGH

Care for what you're carrying.

Psychiatric care for adults, with room for the whole person. These are some of the concerns we can explore together.

01

ADHD & attention

Feeling scattered, struggling to follow through, or working twice as hard to keep up. Let's better understand your attention, focus, and daily challenges.

02

Anxiety & overwhelm

Racing thoughts, constant worry, or feeling on edge. A place to talk about what's weighing on you and consider your next steps.

03

Depression & mood

Low energy, feeling disconnected, or finding less joy in the everyday. You deserve support, even when asking for it feels difficult.

04

Trauma & PTSD

When past experiences keep showing up in the present. We'll approach the conversation with care, respect, and room to go at your pace.

05

Family & relationship stress

Changing roles, difficult boundaries, and complicated dynamics can affect how you feel. Your relationships belong in the bigger picture of your care.

06

Life changes & everyday stress

Burnout, grief, big decisions, or simply too much at once. You don't need to reach a breaking point to ask for help.

Not sure where your experience fits? That's okay.

A FEW THINGS YOU MAY BE WONDERING

Good questions.
Honest answers.

Have something else on your mind?
We're here to help

Is Zemoria a psychiatrist or a nurse practitioner?

Zemoria is a board-certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC), not an MD or DO physician. She provides psychiatric care within her education, certification, and North Carolina practice requirements. Read how the roles differ.

What if I need urgent help or after-hours care?

Steadwell does not provide emergency visits, life-threatening after-hours care, or 24-hour crisis coverage. Do not wait for a message reply if you need immediate help. See emergency and crisis options.

Do I need a diagnosis before I reach out?

No. You can reach out because you're struggling, noticing changes, or simply want a clearer understanding of how you're feeling. An evaluation helps determine appropriate next steps.

Do you offer virtual appointments?

Yes. Steadwell offers secure video visits for patients located in North Carolina at the time of the appointment. Contact the office to confirm availability and whether telehealth is appropriate for your needs. Visit instructions are provided by the practice.

Will I have to take medication?

Medication is a conversation, not a foregone conclusion. Your evaluation informs the options discussed, which may include medication, supportive care, or coordination with a therapist or another clinician. Prescriptions depend on clinical assessment and applicable requirements.

Can we talk about family dynamics and life stress?

Absolutely. Work, relationships, family expectations, identity, loss, and everyday stress can all shape your mental health. We consider those experiences as part of your individual psychiatric care. If dedicated individual, couples, or family therapy is needed, we can discuss appropriate next steps.

What insurance do you accept, and what does care cost?

Please confirm current participation and fees before scheduling. You are responsible for updating your insurance information and checking your plan's benefits for outpatient mental health treatment by a PMHNP. The office may provide a courtesy eligibility check, but any quoted coverage or benefits remain subject to your particular plan, including network status and final claim processing. Read the insurance and fee guidance.

How do I request a prescription refill?

Request refills directly through your CharmHealth patient portal. Steadwell does not respond to automated pharmacy refill requests because medications and strengths can change, especially during a medication trial. Allow time for clinical review during business hours. Contact the office if you need help accessing the portal. Read the refill policy.

What should I expect from an ADHD assessment?

Steadwell conducts a comprehensive assessment and may refer you to an outside practice for additional testing when needed. Please share previous ADHD assessments, diagnostic letters, medication history, and past treatment trials. We can help request records with an appropriate release. An initial visit does not guarantee an ADHD diagnosis, ADHD medication, or a stimulant prescription. Read more about ADHD evaluations.

Who can help with billing questions?

Email or send a portal message to Billing Department. You may also call or text 888-454-1440 or 919-914-0175. Email is preferred so the team can review the question and provide a more complete answer. Billing contact options.

When should I follow up on a message?

Please allow the clinical office or billing team time to triage, review, and respond. Sending the same request repeatedly or across several channels does not speed up a reply. If you have new information or your condition changes, update the appropriate team. For immediate help, use the emergency and crisis options.

What ages do you see?

Steadwell provides psychiatric care for adults. Telehealth patients must be physically located in North Carolina at the time of the appointment. Contact the office to discuss your needs, availability, and whether the practice is the right setting for your care.

How do I access the patient portal?

Steadwell uses CharmHealth. New portal users need an invitation from the practice. If you've already registered, use the Patient portal button to sign in. Call the office if you need an invitation or help connecting your account.

A PLACE TO START

Your first evaluation.

We'll talk about what brought you in, your symptoms, medical and mental health history, current medications, daily routines, and goals. You're welcome to bring questions or notes.

The goal is a clearer understanding of your concerns and a conversation about options. Additional information, records, or follow-up may be needed before recommendations are made.

INFORMED CHOICES, TOGETHER

Medication with a conversation.

If medication may be helpful, we'll discuss what it is intended to address, potential benefits, possible side effects, and follow-up. Your health history and preferences help guide the discussion.

Follow-up visits allow us to assess how you're doing and consider adjustments when clinically appropriate. An appointment does not guarantee any specific prescription.
