The 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline provides crisis counseling and referrals for people experiencing suicidal thoughts or emotional distress in the United States and its territories.
Chat with 988 online ↗Patient portal messages, regular email, voicemail, and texts are not continuously monitored, including outside business hours. An automated reply or a sent message does not mean a clinician has seen your concern.
For non-emergency concerns, contact the practice during office hours, Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–5:00 pm Eastern. The office can discuss appointment options, medication questions, and next steps. Same-day or urgent appointments are not guaranteed. If you are unsure whether it is safe to wait, seek immediate assistance through the appropriate emergency or crisis service.
Do not wait for the office if a medication concern is life-threatening or you cannot stay safe. Emergency services can assess your immediate needs. For non-emergency refills, request them directly through your patient portal and allow time for review during business hours. Steadwell does not respond to automated refill requests from pharmacies. Follow your existing treatment instructions and contact the office for help if you cannot access the portal. After-hours prescriptions are not guaranteed.

During ongoing care, ask your provider about a personalized safety plan, including warning signs, supportive people, professional resources, and ways to make your environment safer. In a crisis, that plan should help you reach appropriate support rather than delay it.
